Brian Stuckey Closes Shop
The Bees' new wholesale business, which has a couple of other commercial contracts besides their own cafes, is called BakeBar, and Stuckey is executive chef. Not wanting her other pastry subcontractors to panic, Bee quickly specifies that this is for cakes and desserts only: "not pastries--we will still be working with our pastry suppliers."
The Decadent Delight kitchen, on West Huron just west of the Ann Arbor Railroad overpass, isn't idle. It's currently being used by Britten Stringwell to make her raw-food B Bars (unrelated to BakeBar). Stringwell hopes eventually to add a "walk-up/grab-'n'-go/healthy treats cafe" called the Carrot Seed.
