Northland Investments, which owns a portfolio of different restaurants around the Midwest–“13 fast casual, 49 quick serve and 4 casual dining,” says its press release–opened its second Blaze Pizza in town, in Cranbrook Village next to Potbelly (last summer it opened one on Washtenaw). Blaze cooks its customizable eleven-inch thin-crust pizzas in the oven for two very hot minutes. They can be washed down with aguas frescas in flavors like prickly pear and key lime mint (or old-school carbonated soft drinks). Blaze pizzas can be ordered to go but are best eaten fresh from the oven, and this store can seat over a hundred.
