Agave blooming at Matthaei Botanical Garden


Agave blooming at Matthaei Botanical Garden
The 80-year-old American Agave at the Matthaei Botanical Gardens is starting to bloom. I've read that the plant is 24 feet tall, was acquired by UM in 1934, and will die and be cut down after it finishes blooming.
